On 22 January 2023, I booked an appointment for my son with Dr Garima Khandelwal in Sultan Al Olama Barsha branch. Another Doctor had removed the cavity in another clinic so Dr. Garima had to only put the composite filling. Before booking an appointment, I requested them for the gas nitrogen. During the procedure, she forced the gas mask on his nose in a very bad manner, screaming on him and it was forced on him in a very rough way. She asked my son to raise his hand when he feel pain. Yet during the procedure whenever he put his hand up, she never bothered to stop!!! Because of the pain, my child jumped from the dental chair and she cut his lips and the gum. Because of the cut in the lips and gum, my son's pain got worse and he wasn't able to open his mouth or to eat. On the top of it, she didn't level the composite filling as she put the filling without polishing it. On the second visit which was the last one (on 27 January 2023), before entering to the doctor consultation room, I complained to the receptionist and to Dr. Garima's Nurse that the Doctor has to be friendly and has to stop the procedure in case my son develops further pain. My child was already scared because of the previous mental and physical trauma that he faced because of the doctor and had actually refused to come. Once We entered the clinic, I also told doctor Garima that my child got horrible pain because of the cut in his gum and lips that was from the last procedure and that he wasn't able to eat or open his mouth because of this. Also I told her that he got a lot of fear because of her way. She then promised me that she will be friendly with my child & that she will do two tooth together along with polishing the previous tooth of the last visit. I requested her for the gas nitrogen; but she refused to put for my son. She inserted the plastic mouth prop in his mouth very roughly. She put her hand with force on his forehead to force his head on the couch. She continued to hold his forehead & he was unable to move or to take rest during the entire time. (two procedures of the two tooth along that she was polishing the previous one without giving one second break for my son). She was verbally abusing him saying that she will bring 10 persons to force him & if he doesn't listen to her, she told him she will not let you go. all the time my son was screaming and crying & yet while doing the procedures she never stopped. I requested her to give him break, still she never stopped during the whole procedure. I told her that because of this continuous force and pressure on him, he will develop jaw pain. She never listened, & continued her torturing of my son. I told her HARAM he was crying and screaming to remove the plastic mouth prop from his mouth so my child can talk and I can understand what my child would like to say, she even called that my child is mental, Unfortunately she continued and the nurse did not use the suction inspite of the saliva drooling from his mouth. We went out very disappointed, my child was crying and again experienced emotional, physical and mental trauma.
All in all, we went through a horrible experience. My son got his oral cavity injured including his lips. He was harassed and tortured by this horrible doctor Physically, verbally, emotionally & Psychologically. he continues to have jaw pain from the procedures, In fact he was even subjected to physical violence by forcing his forehead and holding his chin during the three procedures without stopping. Such doctors tarnish the image of Dubai as well as DHA. I have to see phycologist for my child as she abusing him a lot, Humbly request you not to visit this horrible Doctor she will take your money and abuse your child, very very unprofessional I got a medical report from Rashid hospital about my child health issue and about the trauma that he got All because of this DR.
This is my experience, for any further information anyone can contact me and i will share the medical reports

Specialist description
Dr. Garima pediatric dentist, the worst experience ever
Dr. Garima Khandelwal — The worst paediatric dentist ever. Period.
The feeling was like taking my child to a slaughter house. A doctor with no compassion or care for kids. Never trust her and always do get a second opinion.
Now i will talk about my experience.
My daughter is 4 years old with multiple tooth problems. 10 tooth precisely that needed extraction or filling. We’ve been visiting another dentist over the last few months but the distance was a problem, hence we looked for online reviews and decided to visit Dr. Garima mainly due to travel convenience purpose.
Our first visit to Dr Garima and she did identify problems that my daughter had like the other dentist before her, but to our surprise she started pushing to get all the tooth fixed in one go using general anaesthesia where the child is completely unconscious when the procedure is done. She repeatedly warned us to not fix her tooth one by one as my daughter is 4 and will not cooperate and kept pushing for General Anaesthesia.
We were not convinced and hence got a second opinion from my family dentist in India who ruled out general anaesthesia as it’s not advisable for kids below 6 years of age, and asked to start treating the teeth one by one. So me and my wife decided we will take it slowly and treat my daughters tooth one by one.
My daughter herself volunteered to get her tooth removed and she was really looking forward to the experience. She has done filling in the past and knows what it’s like to go to a dentist. So we booked an appointment for the second visit with Garima, where my daughter needed a tooth extraction and it turned out to be a complete nightmare.
Here are some details about my experience — 1. To numb her mouth she had to give an injection. To our surprise she pushed in a two inch long needle right in her mouth into her bones in a fraction of a second. My daughter was crying out of pain and the doctor ssshs my daughter and asks her to stop crying or she will put another injection. And she goes on threatening my daughter basically to shut up. I was in total shock not knowing what’s happening there. Paediatric Dentists are usually really very sweet and patient with the kids but Garima didn’t have a bit of patience.
2. Next she had the guts to tell me and my wife that my daughter is just acting and she doesn’t have any pain and she starts pulling out my daughters tooth as she’s crying out of pain not giving her a minute to calm down or get distracted. We didn’t even know if my daughters mouth was numb as she cried with intolerable pain as the extraction was done and the Docter didn’t stop neither. She was heartless and had no compassion for the kid. Honestly vets will treat dogs in a better way.
3. The tooth was removed in three parts finally and shouts at my daughter to stop crying in front of us and asks her to get down from the dental chair, thats when i carried her and put her in my shoulder. Not one nice word of care or compassion I could see from the doctor. She was least bothered about the kid crying in pain.
Felt like she was indirectly giving a message to us parents to go for the General Anaesthesia or this is how my daughter will suffer if we remove the tooth one by one.
Anyone can contact me and i can tell you about my experience. I really fell for some online reviews which I m not sure is true so I decided to put in my honest feedback.,… – show

Thank you for sharing,I wish that i saw your review before visiting the worst pediatric dentist Dr. Garima Khandelwal, no sense of humanity for the child even not taking into consideration for the mother's felling, she will abuse the child even if the child shout, scream or cry she doesn't care and the most important the huge amount that she will take from the patients doing unnecessary procedure. So sorry to hear that, God protect your little one

We were looking for a pedodontist for our 8-year-old son and were very glad to have found Dr Garima at True Smile Clinic. She was extremely patient with him and put him at ease from the very first minute. The treatment for fillings in both lower jaw and upper jaw and one RCT was split into 3 visits and was completed in quick time on each visit. No complaints from our son, who is usually too fussy and absolutely no side effects. We shall visit again with our child early next year, and for parents reading this review, we recommend Dr Garima for your child's dental treatments. Trust us, she is good. True Smile Clinic accepts insurance to cover the treatment cost. You may contact them to check accepted policies and for copayment, but first check with your insurance provider on the dental cover.… – show
Thank you for your feedback. In my opinion we always choose the best quality for our beloved children and for the best quality there should be no compromise on the cost as good quality of work also has expenses associated with it. But I am happy to have given your child a painf ree smile. Take care and god bless.

We consulted Dr. Garima, a year ago for our 7 year old for what looked like a normal pediatric consultation for us. Dr. Garima clearly explained the lacknof spacing in the lower jaw and course of treatment that can help with the condition. Over the course of the treatment, Dr Garima showed utmost levels of care and would always explain the treatment and its effects towards the desired result. She has a very welcoming approach towards kids. My LO was always excited to visit Dr.
Thank you Dr for giving our LO a “picture-perfect” smile.… – show

Thank you Dr Garima. We have been to many pediatric dentists in Dubai, none shows the confidence and skills like you do. We are gutted to not have met you sooner. I am still in disbelief how my 3 years old could have his proud ‘iron tooth’ fixed without general anesthesia. Thank you again
Thank you for your kind words. God bless take care. Always happy to help
