Bought a travel insurance from the VFS website together with the payment of visa appointment. However, there was no information about travel insurance sending back to me at all. Only the receipt was provided. I checked with the VFS call centre line prior to my appointment and the call centre person confirmed the insurance receipt is fine for the document submission.
When the day of document submission arrived, the VFS visa application counter rejected my documents with the reason of lacking thetravel insurance details. I had to make tons of call in order to chase my travel insurance details but no one from insurance company and VFS are unable to provide me with the insurance details.
At the end, I need to purchase another travel insurance so as to submit the documents on that day. The refund of the travel insurance bought from VFS has been requested since August 2022. Until now I have not received any refund from VFS. Please refrain from getting a travel insurance from them.… – show

I had a wonderful experience at the Switzerland embassy-Wafi mall, Dubai. I also had a chance for preponing my appointment due to an emergency and the embassy kindly accepted me for a walk in. My experience was extra special because Mohammed Shahnawaz aka Sahnavez assisted me during my application process. He was very approachable, calm, composed, soft spoken with a beautiful pleasant smile always and was very very helpful in guiding me and answering all my queries. Most welcoming expression from the security personnel at the entrance and reception. I was assisted by the lovely lady at counter 25. She was very efficient in her work and patient with my queries. I was helped by the floor supervisor, a perfect gentleman to get the biometrics. The cleaning staff also require appreciation to have offered greetings and refreshments. Overall a good experience. They sent my passport to another person with a different aramex tracking number and gave me another number. If the guy wasn’t decent and called me to inform me that my passport is with him it would’ve been lost. Their answer was its aramex fault immediately and before hearing the story how they sent it to the other person just because his name is Jamal not jamil. Out of all the documents, registered account details, and visa forms given, they gave aramex the passport based on the first name. Extremely unprofessional. If i hadn’t asked the guy to send me the tracking number of the package he received they would have never found it. PS still did not receive my passport.… – show
